ACCESS BANK BUNDLE PRIME BANK 3-013/02/2010 08:35 AM The inter Banks football competition continues on Saturday at Bakau mini stadium with Access Bank locking on with Prime Bank. Like the opening game at the S/K West mini stadium on Friday between Central Bank and Eco Bank in which Central Bank won 4-0, Access Bank also fixed their ambition of claiming the trophy with a 3-0 triumph over Prime Bank. Striker Habib Sanyang scored twice while Alieu Gassama sealed victory for Access Bank. Although the first half of the game could not produce any goal, Access Bank made an improvement in the second half hitting the back of the nets three times. Speaking to Sports Digest after the game the coordinator of the tournament Mr. Adama Cham of Central Bank, who doubles as the Sports Secretary, said the aim and objective of organizing this tournament is to bring together all banking institutions under one umbrella, describing sport as a unifying tool. He revealed that this is the seventh edition of the annual inter banking competition, named after former Governor Famara Jatta. “The winner of the trophy will go home with D20, 000.00; the runners up will receive D15, 000.00 while the most discipline team will bag D10, 000.00.
